You’ve Tried to Fix This on Your Own. It’s Time for Real Help.

Couples therapy for high-functioning partners who are exhausted by the same fights and ready to understand why they keep happening.

The Same Fights, Over and Over

You’ve been here before. Maybe it’s about:

  • Parenting disagreements – Different approaches, different standards, feeling like you’re constantly negotiating
  • Money stress – Spending habits, financial goals, the tension that comes with every purchase or bill
  • Feeling unheard – One person shuts down, the other pursues. Neither feels understood.
  • Unmet needs – You’re both trying, but somehow missing each other
  • Family of origin patterns – Realizing your childhood experiences are showing up in ways you didn’t expect

You’re not in crisis. You’re not screaming at each other. But the disconnection is real, and it’s wearing you both down.

You’ve tried to solve this yourselves. You’ve had the talks, made promises, tried harder. But here you are again.

That’s not a failure. It’s a sign you need support.

Is Couples Therapy Right for You?

Couples therapy is designed for partners who are high-functioning, thoughtful, and ready to do deeper work.

You might be a good fit if:

This is NOT quick-fix therapy. It’s for couples ready to slow down, look underneath the patterns, and build something more secure together.

How We’ll Work Together

What It Takes to Make This Work

I can offer you skills, insight, and a safe space. But couples therapy requires something from you too:

Courage

It takes courage to be vulnerable, to admit where you’re struggling, and to look at your own patterns instead of just your partner’s.

Commitment to Hard Work

I wish I could say this will be easy, but relationships are hard work. As long as you have a willing heart and an open mind, you have everything you need to make your relationship work.

Honesty and Vulnerability

Therapy works when both partners are willing to be honest—not just with each other, but with themselves. Even if you or your partner don’t start out that way, a hard heart can soften and a closed mind can open as we work together.

Therapy That Fits Your Life

You’re busy. Between work, kids, and everything else, finding time for therapy can feel impossible.

That’s why, even though we are located in Bend, we offer telehealth couples therapy throughout Oregon. You can meet with me from your home, your office, or anywhere private. No commute. No coordinating schedules around traffic or childcare.

Telehealth doesn’t mean less effective. It means more accessible—so you can prioritize your relationship without sacrificing everything else.

What If We’re Considering Divorce?

Some couples come to therapy hoping to save their marriage. Others come unsure if they even want to. Both are okay.

My role isn’t to convince you to stay together or push you toward divorce. It’s to help you make a thoughtful, informed decision—one you won’t regret.

Common Questions About Couples Therapy

How do I get my partner to agree to therapy?

Start by expressing how you feel without blaming them. Instead of saying, “You never listen,” try “I feel disconnected, and I think therapy could help us.” Emphasize that therapy is about understanding each other better, not fixing one person.

What if my partner blames me for everything?

That’s something we address in therapy. The work focuses on helping both partners recognize their role in relationship patterns. Therapy creates space for shared accountability and understanding.

How long does couples therapy take?

It depends on your goals and the depth of the patterns involved. Some couples notice changes within a few months, while others choose to work together longer. We regularly check in on progress.

Do you take sides?

No. My role is to create a safe space for both partners and help you understand each other’s perspectives. I’m on the side of the relationship.

Can therapy really change patterns we’ve had for years?

Yes. These patterns were learned, which means they can be unlearned. Change takes time, honesty, and commitment, but it is absolutely possible.

Do you offer virtual or telehealth sessions?

Yes. All sessions are available via secure telehealth throughout Oregon, making therapy easier to fit into busy schedules.

What if we’re not religious?

That’s not a problem. My approach is inclusive and tailored to what works for you. While spiritual language may be used at times, there is no agenda beyond helping you build the relationship you want.

Your relationship is worth fighting for. And you don’t have to do it alone.
