About the Therapist

I work with adolescents and adults going through challenging life transitions, or needing support with post-traumatic stress, anxiety, or depression. I firmly believe people have an innate capacity for healing — sometimes we just need help accessing our own strength. My focus is on seeing the best in you and helping you stay pointed at your goals without losing your unique essence. Being happy and successful looks different for every person; I help you reach and maintain your best life without judgment or moral imposition.

I can help with: life transitions · post-traumatic stress · anxiety · depression · grief and bereavement

I use tools from different traditions depending on what you need: practical cognitive-behavioral strategies when you’re changing patterns, and deeper approaches — body-based (somatic) work, attachment theory, transpersonal psychology — when you’re facing a crisis of faith or existential questions. I think of the whole person and their social environment. Some of what we gain in therapy is insight; some is a felt experience that can be hard to put into words. Both matter.

Therapists, like all people, are shaped by their lives, and mine informs my quality of presence. I was born in Moldova when it was part of the Soviet Union, fled war as a child in 1992, and was raised in Germany. I immigrated to the U.S. at seventeen, and have lived in California and Oregon since. I’ve been married longer than dating apps have existed, and we have two children. Born into a Jewish-Christian family under communism, I have a dynamic relationship with spirituality and see the divine in all that exists. I’m also an internationally exhibiting artist specializing in printmaking, and since 2023 a licensed psilocybin facilitator — the first licensed in Oregon — work I practice, and write about in my book In Lucid Color: Witnessing Psilocybin Journeys, independently of my counseling at Bend Mental Wellness.

BA in Psychology (University of California, Santa Barbara). MA in Clinical Psychology and Somatic Psychology (Santa Barbara Graduate Institute). Fluent in Russian, German, and English.

I am a Professional Counselor Associate (Oregon Registration R12074). I see clients in person at my own office in Bend and by telehealth.
